Westmoreland woman arrested

According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Unit; On January 29, 2018, Julia A. Reschetnikow, age 30 of Westmoreland, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony. The arrest stems from an investigation into a complaint that took place earlier in the month, where it was reported to members of the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division that someone stole personal checks from a residence in the Town of Westmoreland. The investigation revealed Ms. Reschetnikow was the person responsible for stealing the checks, forging them and later cashing the checks at a Credit Union in the Town of Whitestown. Ms. Reschetnikow is currently being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.
