According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, at around 7:30 pm on March 05, 2019 there was a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Soule Road in the Town of Floyd. Joshua Bach (38) of Rome, NY was operating his Gray 2014 Dodge Ram North on Soule Road. Bach crossed over the centerline and struck a Gray 2009 Chevrolet Aveo that was traveling South on Soule Road operated by DJ Roberts (35) of Rome, NY. Roberts was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital by AmCare Ambulance where he was treated for minor injuries. Bach was evaluated on scene by members of the Floyd Fire Department where he was found to have no injuries. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office DWI unit was called to the scene for further investigation regarding this incident. Deputies with the DWI unit ran several tests and it was determined that Bach was driving while ability impaired by drugs. Bach was also issued traffic situations for failure to keep right and driving while using an electronic hand held device. The Oneida County Sheriffs Office was assisted on scene by members of the Floyd Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
