According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol the Oneida County Sheriff's Office investigated a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Route 28 in the Town of Forestport. The accident occurred when an 2017 Toyota SUV, operated by Irma Rodriguez of Woodbridge Virginia, attempted to make a left hand turn into the parking lot of Season's Café. When the SUV began it's turn it did so in front of a motorcycle traveling north bound, operated by Maria Filippome of Laval Quebec. The motorcycle is a 2012 Harley Davidson. The motorcycle did not have enough time to stop and collided with the passenger side of the SUV. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and struck the SUV. Otter Lake Fire Department and the NY State Police arrived on scene and assisted the Sheriff's Office. The motorcyclist suffered injuries to her back and arms, while the SUV operator suffered no injuries. The motorcyclist was transported by STaR Ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment. The SUV operator was released from the scene with a citation.
