According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On January 21st, 2020 at approximately 6:24PMDeputies responded to Bristol Road in the Town of Kirkland for a car vs pedestrian motor vehicle accident resulting in an injury.

An investigation revealed that Samuel Constantino, 23 of Kirkland failed to yield the right of way and began to cross the roadway before being struck by a 2019 Honda Civic being operated by Maryellen Donough, 60 of Kirkland.

Constantino was transported by Cocvac Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Clinton Volunteer Fire Department and Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Constantino was issued a traffic citation returnable to the Town of Kirkland Court at a later date and time.
