According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, an Oriskany Falls man…
According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, an Oriskany Falls man suffered minor injuries in a one car accident on Rt 26 in the Town of Augusta.
As investigated and reported by Deputy Brian Warcup, at about 12:04 PM on 030120, Matthew Weeks, age 32 of Oriskany Falls, was operating a 2013 Subaru in a northerly direction on Rt 26, when his vehicle left the roadway on the easterly side of the roadway. Weeks' vehicle traveled down a slight embankment and struck three trees before coming to rest against an earthen embankment in a small stream. Weeks complained of pain in his back as a result of the accident. Investigation revealed that Weeks may have had a medical event causing him to loose consciousness and drift off the roadway on a curve. Weeks was transported by Central Oneida County Ambulance to St Elizabeth's Hospital for his injuries. Also assisting at the scene was Oriskany Falls Fire Dept and NYSP.
