According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on June 22, 2020 at about 11:37 A.M. there was a police presence on North Road in the Town of Augusta. Deputies along with the New York State Police responded to the area of North Road just south of Knoxboro Road for an individual who called the 911 center reporting intentions of self harm and harm to responding police. After arriving on scene an individual was located and taken into custody without incident. The individual was transported to an area hospital for a mental health evaluation. The name is not being released at this time due to the nature of the call.
