According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on today's date, at or about 1334 Hrs. members of OCSO road patrol were dispatched to a vehicle fire near the former Erie Canal Village, on Route 46 (Rome-New London road) in the City of Rome. It had been reported that the vehicle was fully involved. There were no injuries. Rome Fire responded and extinguished the fire. Traffic in the area was slowed to one lane of travel. Members of the NY State Police assisted on scene.
