According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Level 3 Registered Sex Offender was arrested by members of the CAC on 9/11/2020. William Wilson, age 42, of the City of Rome, was arrested by OCSO Sgt. M. Bolton and OCSO Inv. Mark Chrysler, after their investigation found that Wilson had failed to register his change of address within ten days, which is a requirement under the NYS Sex Offender Registry Act. Wilson was located in the City of Rome and transported to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, where he was subsequently released on an appearance ticket. Wilson is scheduled to appear in Whitestown Court at a later date.
