According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Taberg man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after an incident occurred in Taberg on 10/10/2020. Lyle W. Jackson 39, of Taberg was charged with one count of Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, after investigation determined that on 10/10/2020 at approximately 11:00 AM, Jackson failed to provide adequate supervision for a two year old child and the child's life was endangered as a result. Several concerned motorists stopped to call 911 after nearly striking the child with their vehicles while driving on State Route 69 when the child ran into traffic. The child was secured by a neighbor and brought home where Jackson was located and unaware of the child's whereabouts. Jackson was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Annsville Town Court on an upcoming date.
