According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Oriskany Falls man following a domestic incident. On June 15, 2021, at about 1:00 PM the Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on North Main Street in the Village of Oriskany Falls for a domestic complaint. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, Joseph Gaudin Jr, age 43, of Oriskany Falls, had choked and then slammed the adult victim down to the ground threatening to kill the victim during the course of the domestic. The incident occurred in front of their young child. Following the investigation, Deputies arrested Gaudin for Harassment 2nd degree a violation, Endangering the Welfare of a Child a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing a Class A Misdemeanor, and Menacing 3rd degree a Class B Misdemeanor. Gaudin was transported to the Oneida County Law Enforcement Building for processing. Gaudin was then transported to the Oneida County Correctional Facility where he was arraigned at Central Arraignment Part Court and remanded to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail.
