According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on August 26th, 2021, around 8:00 AM, road patrol deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident, which occurred on State Route 69, near Steam Mill Rd, in the Town of Camden. Road patrol deputies determined the operator, whos name will not be released due to being a juvenile, was operating a 2011 Chevrolet sedan, West bound on State Route 69, when the operator experienced a medical emergency, causing the operator to drive into a ditch. The operator sustained minor injuries to the arms, legs and head. The 20 year old female passenger sustained minor injuries to the legs as well. The operator was transported to Upstate University Hospital, via Camden Ambulance, for further evaluation. The passenger was medically evaluated on scene and was not transported. No tickets were issued during this incident.

Deputies were assisted on scene by the New York State Police and Town of Camden Fire Department.
