According to Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, On the 26th of January 2022 at approximately 11:50 am there was a Police presence at the Madison Oneida BOCES located at 4937 Spring Rd. in the Town of Verona.

The School Resource Officer reported a fight in progress between students and requested assistance. It is normal procedure to call for additional patrols with incidents involving calls for assistance within a School.

The School was temporarily placed into a lockdown which was released shortly after. Prior to police arriving on scene, the situation was under control with no injuries reported.

The School Resource Officer is currently investigating the incident with no charges at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
