According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On May 11th, 2022 at about 8:42 PM, Deputies responded to Irish Ridge Rd near Germany Rd in the Town of Verona for a reported one car property damage motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Hayley Tucker (36), of Verona, NY, was operating a Black 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck with her 15 year old son passenger was traveling in a northerly direction on Irish Ridge Rd. Due to a deer coming out of the roadway and failure to maintain lane, Hayley’s passenger side front tire exited the eastern shoulder of the roadway causing her to go into an earth embankment and strike a fence as she attempted to maneuver around a deer in the roadway and at which time Hayley tried to correct the direction of the vehicle which caused the vehicle to go off the roadway and come to rest on the eastern shoulder of the roadway.

Hayley and her passenger were evaluated and transported on scene by Amcare ambulance to Oneida Hospital in the City of Oneida for minor facial injuries.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by New London Fire Department and Durhamville Fire Department.
