According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, Deputies were called to the Rome Motel located at 8257 Turin Road, in the City of Rome for a domestic complaint on June 6, 2022, at about 12:30 AM.

Upon arrival, deputies met with the female victim who had suffered minor injuries to her head and neck due to a physical altercation with Jason Roache, age 40, from Oneida Castle. Jason fled the scene and was later located at his residence.

Roache was taken into custody and was transported back to the Law Enforcement Building for processing and lodge at the Oneida County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.

Roache was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a Class A misdemeanor, and Harassment Second, a Violation.
