Sheriff’s Office Holds Corrections Officer Academy Graduation Ceremony

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol is honored to announce the graduating class of the 2022-02 Corrections Officer Academy. The Sheriff’s Office conducts their corrections training alongside the Mohawk Valley Police Academy located at Mohawk Valley Community College. The Corrections Academy consists of classroom learning, practical exercises, physical fitness training, and military drills.

As always, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office extends invitations to the neighboring counties that have officers in need of their basic training; these 12 recruits representing the Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison County Sheriff's Offices.

As part of the Ceremony, Sheriff Robert Maciol pins the badges on the Oneida County graduates, Sheriff Scott Scherer pins the Herkimer County graduates, and Sheriff Todd Hood pins the Madison County graduates respectively.
