According to the Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on Friday, June 23rd, at approximately 6:07 pm, Deputies responded to the area of State Route 12 and Plank Road, in the Town of Trenton for a Person Injury Motorcycle accident.

After an investigation, it was determined that Justin A. Smith, age 28, of Boonville, was operating a 2003 Yamaha Motorcycle, Southbound on Route 12, when he lost control and struck a guide rail. Smith sustained serious physical injuries, that do not appear life-threating at this time, as a result of the collision. Smith was transported to Upstate Medical University by Mercy Flight Helicopter, for further treatment of his injuries.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by, Barneveld Fire Department, Trenton Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance, and Mercy Flight.
