According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on December 16th, 2023, at around 6:31 pm, Deputies responded to the Route 291 and Route 69 intersection in the Town of Whitestown for a one car motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Upon arrival, deputies determined Arthur Daviau, (72), of Stittville, was driving a 2015 Chrysler sedan on Route 291 southbound when he entered the intersection with Route 69. As Daviau proceeded through the intersection, he collided with the embankment parallel to Route 69. Daviau's passenger, Rosalie Spina, (77), was transported to Wynn Hospital for injuries as a result of the collision.

Daviau was issued a citation returnable to Whitestown Court.
