A Bridgewater man has been arrested after being involved in a domestic dispute. According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, at about 9:30 PM Sunday night, deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the Town of Bridgewater where they found that Aaron Smith, 35 had been involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. The victim said that Smith choked her and obstructed her breathing to the point that she lost consciousness. Smith was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Family Offense, a class E felony, Strangulation 2nd, a class D felony, and harassment, a violation. Smith is being held in the Oneida County Jail awaiting arraignment in CAP Court.
