According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol, a Florida man was arrested, following a menacing investigation.

On August 15th, 2024 at approximately 11:55 PM, Oneida County Sheriff Deputies received a complaint, regarding a threat of a firearm, that occurred in the Village of Camden. Throughout the investigation, deputies made contact with a male, later to be identified as, Richard B. Danise (51) of Florida. During the interview with Danise, he was pat frisked by responding deputies for weapons, when an illegally possessed loaded firearm was located on his person. The investigation was turned over to members of the Criminal Investigation Unit. On August 16th, 2024, the Criminal Investigation Unit charged Richard B. Danise with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, an E Felony.

Danise was processed at the Camden Field Office, released and issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Camden Court, at a later date.
