According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, a juvenile was charged with Making a threat of mass harm after an investigation conducted by Madison-Oneida BOCES School Resource Officer Justin Houle. Multiple students had reported to Houle that on the evening of Tuesday 9/17, the juvenile made threats to bring a weapon to school and cause them serious injury or death. The juvenile was issued an appearance ticket for the class B misdemeanor and referred to Oneida County Probation then released to parents. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to ensuring the safety of our schools and communities.

This incident is not related to the since deemed not-credible social media threat which mentioned BOCES on Wednesday 9/18.
