According to Oneida County Sheriffs Office, Sheriff Maciol reports that one man was arrested Thursday morning after an investigation into a Domestic Dispute in the City of Rome. Officials reported that Sheriffs Deputies received an anonymous tip for a welfare check of a Carolyn Green, 56 of Rome Taberg Road Rome. Upon investigating the tip, Sheriff's Deputies learned that Green had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Richard Jones, 48 of the same address. The physical altercation took place in a vehicle as the couple were driving back to their home from a bar in the City of Rome on the prior night. The incident was never reported to the police until the anonymous tip was received the next morning. Green was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital for her injuries. Jones was arrested at the home and charged with Assault 3rd and Harassment 2nd. Jones was remanded to the Oneida County Jail's Centralized Arraignment to be seen by a judge. The case is still open as more charges may pending or up graded, pending further investigation.
